To mark the return of the warm weather, the Printemps de la musique 2023 presents its 8th edition on May 20 and 21, in the heart of Old Québec. In addition to our usual Musical Strolls, a few new features have been added to the program.
The Musical Strolls on Saturday and Sunday will take place in the afternoon of May 20 and 21 in twelve (12) locations in and around Old Québec. Each of these strolls will include six (6) 20-minute concerts, which will be given during three (3) distinct performances.
This year, the festival offers an enhanced youth component. Indeed, young ears will also have their own tour. On Saturday, May 20, in the morning, a family tour of three (3) 20-minute concerts adapted for young audiences will be presented three (3) times. In addition, a special collaboration with Les Incomplètes will present, on Sunday, May 21, the very first edition of BIG BANG in Québec City. BIG BANG takes over the various spaces of Le Diamant and offers a program specially designed for young audiences. All-day activities and music rooms are also on the program!
The 8th edition of the festival will end in style with another new feature: the Night Stroll. Music lovers will be invited to stroll through Quartier du Petit-Champlain on the night of Sunday, May 21, 2023. It will feature a collection of micro-concerts in the vaults of the district.
Our Headquarters will return to the City Hall Gardens with an all-day program. It is also where the Printemps de la musique box office will be located; there, festival-goers can pick up their wristbands and tickets needed to take part in certain festival activities.
