Contemplation : le calme intérieur

Chamber music

In a nod to the origins of the Holy Trinity Cathedral, the first piece you will hear is a piece by Handel, leading figure in English baroque music.

Il will be followed by Castillo Interior, by Latvian composer Pēteris Vasks, a meditative work that contrasts a calm, minimalist main section (which refers to the inner peace that meditation or prayer can bring) with a chaotic, agitated section (which refers to hectic day-to-day life).

Just like the contrasts in the pieces that will be played, we invite spectators to leave the buzz of everyday life at the door and enter this place of calm to enjoy a moment of contemplation and serenity.
