Piano Lessons at the Ursulines, the Past Inside the Present
Mehdi Ghazi | Piano solo
When the Ursulines nuns arrived in Quebec City, the piano as we know it today did not yet exist, but it quickly took a place of great importance in their teaching. The concert highlights some milestones from this history with musical pieces that showcases how these progressive nuns have always been on the lookout for ways to bolster their students and their sisters within the community, be it in the musical field or elsewhere.
