Visual, playful and experimental music for oscillators and other instruments

Inspired by the scientific and vintage aura of the former Morrin College science lab, Atopos and internationally renowned sound artist Nicolas Bernier are banking on the evocative potential of sound waves to transduce the memory of scholarly instruction in which the venue is steeped in order to create an intense aesthetic and sonic experience.

To this end, the ensemble transforms electronic oscillators used to measure and generate waves into an astonishing instrumentation whose versatile sonority will be enriched with magnificent graphic scores by Cat Hope, Nicolas Jobin and Sébastien Roux.

Atopos

Atopos, an ensemble in constant flux, organizes interdisciplinary artistic events inspired by repertoires drawn from the history of the spaces that serve as ephemeral stages.
